Or is your family so trashy that you only spend time with them on holidays?

honestly, as I have gotten older, I really like clothes better than anything else...

my default answer is to get me a shirt...I get so damn tired of rotating throught he same closet full of shirts that anything new in the rotation is really nice...

Ice chest
Bench grinder
Gun safe

I'll probably get a cheap ice chest and a bench grinder from harbor freight...

Congrats on the awesome family. The only thing i want for Christmas is a bottle of liquor and time afforded to drink it alone in the dark, like a grown-up. But you'll find out when you're older....

Your original response made it seem as if the holidays are the time of year for family, considering I never mentioned family.

While you're drinking 'shroom tea at widespread shows all year, I enjoy spending time with my family at various points throughout the year; Christmas is just another day.

It's pretty awful.

They need to change that emoticon to dead eyed smiling faces cheersing with introspective looks on their faces knowing that booze is the only thing that makes life tolerable.

I always just buy what I want for myself throughout the year so I can never really think of stuff I want for Christmas. I'm easy as hell to shop for though. Give me a giftcard and I'm happy.

For grown adults to realize that Christmas is a holiday for children.

I know you're trying to act all mature and grownup like, but people that aren't miserable actually enjoy exchanging gifts during Christmas. For instance, my siblings and I exchange strange off-the-wall knickknacks we find. They're usually pretty funny, and something you'll always remember was given to you by your sibling. Nobody asks for any grand expensive presents, it's just fun to do something that you don't get to do any other time of the year.

In other words, get over yourself.

I'm miserable because I do not want cheap shite that I don't need? While you remember worthless gift exchanges, I remember the times we have together.

I donate gifts and monies in the names of family members to charities of their choice at the end of the year. My family buys what we want for ourselves during the year. We aren't all poors that get off on presents.
