Arkansas runs power football and focuses entirely on the run. It took them 6 minutes to score 10 points on Ole Miss while it took us 60 minutes to do the same. They're passing on Ole Miss and have been very efficient.

Even defensive wise, the Ole Miss offense is doing a much better job than LSU against Arkansas. Ole Miss scored 0 points on their first play from scrimmage. It took LSU 60 whole minutes to do the same.

We will never be so fricking low that we're going to compare ourselves negatively to R-Kansas. I refuse that we'll ever reach that point. We may be complete and utter garbage now, but we will NEVER be that low.

Take this thread back. Please.

Coaching

Players have to be so bought into that system after their rough season and still be giving that effort.

I know I was thinking how sad this thread is, that LSU is envious of a 5-6 Arky team.

Bigger and Better O-line for Ark.

No shame in that.

They don't line up and run the same play to the same hole (over and over), they utilize their TE's, they use motion and misdirection...I could go on and on

fricking this, they are creative offensively and we are so uncreative that it's offensive

Did everyone forget that LSU absolutely gashed Ole Miss in the first half? 3 out of 4 first half drives went 60+ yards.

They just could not convert in the red zone.

Ok so what do you do in that situation? You're banging your head against the wall in the red zone over and over. You make changes in your game plan and go to plan B, make offensive adjustments, correct? That's the problem, we make no adjustments ever because we have no plan B. We can't pass, ok fine. Run counter and misdirection type plays, but those don't exist in our offense and that's inexcusable for a program like LSU

I'm not praising this offense. It is undeniably awful.

But they did what they needed to do against Ole Miss. They held the ball, and moved it down the field.

The first drive was stopped short after Fournette ran to the 3 or 4, but had to "re-do" because the refs screwed up. Then missed an easy FG.

The next drive, Fournette unexpectedly fumbled at the goal line.

I don't remember why the third drive stalled inside the 5. I think somewhere in there was a Quinn drop.

But that was/should have been a very successful offensive game.

They are undermanned, but, they are well-coached and don't beat themselves.

This kind of team always gives LSU fits.

Have a decent passing game but more importantly, use their TEs in the passing game. A lot.
