Dude made $90mm in 2013ish? Wasn't he a sub-par commentator back in his Fox days, and now the guy has apparently put together a media empire that is outearning even Oprah Winfrey. Despite what you think of the guy, that's impressive, but how the hell has he pulled this off? Dude must have raised some
serious funding.

He's a bit of a visionary. Think Howard Stern with a consevative moralist bent.

Even if you think he's crazy (and he is certainly round the bend on plenty of things), his ability to spot trends and predict things, both politically and business wise, is impressive.

How much of that was from his network? (I should probably read the link.)

Eta: owning the distribution of your product will make you some serious coin if you can sell it. Judge Judy's earnings are (were?) ridiculous.

Mad talent. Emphasis on mad.

I only have listened to his radio show so I can't comment on the internet/tv empire. His Friday caller show is comedy gold. If he's silly, I listen. Silly Glen Beck is freaking awesome. If he's serious I might listen. If he's sad I turn the channel with much haste.

The Three Moods Of Glen Beck.

They don't break out that detail in the article, but it can't be all from his network. In fact, it looks like the large majority probably isn't. This article says the Blaze was doing about $40mm in revenue in 2013 and his broader media empire was doing about $80mm.

So where did all the rest of his earnings come from? Assume his entire empire has a 20% profit margin and that he's a 100% owner of all of it (both unlikely assumptions), that would still only get him to $16mm in personal income.

Unless the article is considering the media revenue as his own personal "earnings?"

I can't find up to date revenue estimates for the Blaze. So that's all I think that could have changed. I do think your profit margins are low. They were making pretty high profit margins when they were an Internet only show, IIRC.

I can't find a single broadcast company with a profit margin as high as 20%, even the internet-only ones.

His online presence probably has a high margin, but surely that's been diluted by the buildout of the TV network.

Who knows?

I thought he got the boot because he had a bit of the Alex Jones in him.
