Like this.

And will the congressional dems have the political will to stand up to Obama and stand with their constituents in the face of election year 2016.

Expect these type of border security bills to be passed by the house and senate early and often. 2015-16 is really going to set up a clear dichotomy between the free-for-all immigration policy supporters versus the ordered immigration policy supporters.

Party Platform

quote:

...a Republican Administration and Congress will partner with local governments through cooperative enforcement agreements in Section 287g of the Immigration and Nationality Act to make communities safer for all and will consider, in light of both current needs and historic practice, the utility of a legal and reliable source of foreign labor where needed through a new guest worker program. We will create humane procedures to encourage illegal aliens to return home voluntarily, while enforcing the law against those who overstay their visas.

It's the 11th bullet point.

that doesn't mean its going to pass. Guest worker program is not popular with the tea party.

I could be completely wrong.

Visas is not the issue. Obama and the Democrats are not going to support border security. Just ask a certain Governor of Arizona about it. The feds are not going to enforce anything. Why we pay them to NOT to do their jobs is beyond me.

So how will this affect TX's plan to have state troopers patrol near border instead of national guard. I guess TX will just keep locking them up & releasing them eventually.
