Those seem like pretty easy to execute plays that spread the defense out a little. A definite change from the same ole toss up the gut.

Bubble screens and jet sweeps used to be a big part of our offense. What happened?

We ran them after Jimbo left. I guess Cam doesn't do that. Or, do we not have the personnel?

Lack of creativity, and the inability to adapt philosophy from the staff along with starting the most inaccurate starting QB in the country.

Because Anthony Jennings is incapable of completing these passes.

See Wisconsin game.

I don't disagree with this.

Could you imagine Jennings in a gunfight?

those plays are designed to utilize players in space...that is not what we do on offense

Okay, I remember him now. One play that was sorta successful and then we abandoned it.

The same thing with the 2 point conversion play to Quin against Wisconsin. That was pretty creative and well executed. Seems like a very good play to run every once and a while on third and short. But we abandoned that one too.

Because we suck arse offensively.

This is the answer for all "why don't we try xxx" questions.

Honestly I seem to remember a few unsuccessful bubble screens and maybe one or two jet sweeps.

They ran that same play and it got shut down against someone and everyone cried about a lack of creativity.

We don't like to run plays that are successful but once in a season. See the pass play up the middle to LF- 40+ yd, TE pass for TD, Magee pass to Dural.
Beyond comprehension why these can't be repeated once or twice during the season, but hey, we've got the winningest coach in our history.

Jennings doesn't have the arm for that. Harris should be able to execute that though.

Crowton left. we still used em some after he was gone, but not much. Cam really doesn't do WR screens much at all. there have been a few middle/ tunnel/ slip screens called (if not executed), and even fewer bubbles.
