The "not ready" or "he will be ruined" are the dumbest excuses, I'll prove it

Why wasn't LF "ruined" when he played early? It was obvious he was uncomfortable and had to adjust to the game when he first got reps. Isn't it obvious that after a couple of games the game came to him and he was as ready as any back on the team?
It's the same with any young inexperienced player. Many times, the player in front of them is at least capable of solid performances.
So why then, as it pertains to Harris, many of you can't understand he needs snaps to be fully comfortable. We have seen when he is comfortable, he's lights out! We have not seen that with Jennings. It's simply not there and he IS comfortable in the system.
But this "ruining" a player is simply a cop out go to expression that has no merit. Good players ball, bad players fizzle out.....playing a game doesn't ruin leaders, it creates them!

Can't argue with any of that.

Developing a RB =/= developing a QB.
Wouldn't mind seeing Harris on the field though.

I bet A&M fans are sure happy Sumlin didn't quit throwing Allen out there after his egg he laid against Monroe. He sure didn't get ruined.

It was started to defend the poor performance of a different QB (this one a RS Frosh).

Yeah, it takes no smarts to be a running back, and that is no offense to Fournette. QB like no other position takes time to learn.

Yeah. I'm all for playing Harris, but this is a dumb comparison.

You turning over a new leaf?

Sunshine pumper: "You rantard idiots don't see the difference between a RB and a QB. A QB's psyche is so much more fragile. Anybody that knows anything about football knows that."

When have I called for Jennings to play over Harris?

Did you really just compare the rb position to the qb?

Right on cue.

I see your point of view, but then maybe the approach is wrong. Nobody can say whether Harris is ready or not because he hasn't played more than one half of meaningful football. Some guys just aren't practice players and need real game action to get better.

He didn't have a choice. Kenny Trill done bench himself for violatin' team rules.

If Harris's ego is fragile , does it help not letting him play any since the Auburn game as bad as AJ has played or to mop up ?

7 touches vs Arky. 7.

Meh...
Developing a PLAYER = developing a PLAYER
The arguemnt you pose is not staying on topic. No one has said it's not more mental playing at qb.
But when you have one that is statistically in the bottom of the entire country, there is no where lower to go.
If the playbook needs to be cut down some, you still should play the better talent who has shown the higher abilities.
But clowns saying he would be ruined or not ready is really pathetic knowing we have on of the worst statistical qb's in the country running the show.

We should've used the cupcake games to develop the passing game. Can't for the life of me wonder why we don't use the easy games to help get AJ and Harris comfortable in the passing game. Once we are up by three scores , we should pass at least 75% of the time.
