If you've been holding him since day 1 then no.

But if you could use the roster spot and picked him up a few weeks ago then yeah probably so.

"Commissioner Roger Goodell is now officially Peterson's judge, jury and executioner, and the NFL has made it quite clear it's not planning to be lenient."

I dropped him when I first saw this; Goodell doesn't give a damn about an appeal.

That depends. Do you need the roster spot? Who is available to replace him with that roster spot?

I dropped him in two leagues where I needed the spot to pick up someone who would help me. I'm only keeping him in one league. The only reason I'm keeping him in that one league is I don't need the roster spot and there's nobody in FA that interests me much.

My roster:
QB: Luck, Sanchez
RB: Shady, L Bell, Jennings, D Robinson, Peterson
WR: Jordy, Jeffery, M Evans, J Matthews, D Adams
TE: Gronk, Rivera

Top Available FAs:
RB: FJax, Sims, Hillman, L Murray
WR: Percy, Randle, Hurns, Stills, Landry

I don't really see anyone but Peterson being able to break into my starting line. So for that reason I'm keeping him for another week just to see. Next week I might drop him and pick up someone else for depth.

I'm in a league where you can keep 2 keeper players. Since I picked him up off waivers I can have him at the cost of a 13th round pick...I'm holding on

I think so! The hard part will be deciding who else to keep, or if the return on Peterson (who will be 30 next year) is greater than another option.

Options and cost next year:
Alshon Jeffery-11th round
Mike Evans-12th round (also off of waivers)
Sammy Watkins-6th round
AP-12th round
Andre Ellington-2nd round

Not saying you are wrong since I don't know your league, but double check this. If set up properly, these types of keeper leagues usually say the player can be kept for a round based on when they were drafted (doesn't matter who drafted him). I'm assuming AP was a 1st rounder in your league. The free agent as a 13th rounder is usually reserved for undrafted free agents.

For your sake, I hope you're right, but it wouldn't hurt to double check.

Yeah, we voted before the season and decided if a drafted player sat on waivers for at least 2 weeks, then he would be counted as an undrafted free agent. Otherwise, he would still count as the round he was originally drafted.

In that case, you won the lottery. It just doesn't start paying until next year.

AP in the 13th....
