Awful post. Not remotely close on any level. He will match up well agsinst teams with a true center this year. Dude will be legit......in due time

His contribution will be through defense on big centers...we have no one else who can matchup with a legit, big man inside.

He'll play 8 minutes until he runs out of gas then will just be a body for the rest of games

I was thinking more of a defensive role...blocking shots and protecting the rim as well as collecting rebounds, offensively he doesn't need to do much more than the occasional tip in or gorilla dunk with the scoring we have

The one shot he look last night was pretty... I see him playing a lot more as the season goes on. Big body down low could help us down the stretch.

I think he will show he has the chest for the position.

It's many ways he can contribute other than scoring. He's not a scorer, he averaged like 12 ppg his sr yr

Elbert Robinson will be used based off our opponents.

I don't think he starts Friday, but that's not because he's being demoted; Old Dominion starts a 6'4" SF, a 6'6" PF, and a 6'9" C.... LSU will likely combat that lineup with Quarterman, Martin and Mickey just to match quickness.

If Old Dominion had a 7' guy, LSU would probably play Elbert more. If Old Dominion had a large SF and wanted to keep Martin on wing, they would play Elbert more.

At the end of the day, it's all about matchups and Elbert will be used when it benefits LSU.

Our best 5 is when Mickey and Martin man the 4 and 5. Mickey is skinny and small for s center though. You can get away with that against a lot of college teams. Teams like Kentucky you will probably see Robinson play more. Either way we have to get more minutes out of other people as the 2 M"s player over 40 minutes. But you could tell Johnny knew he needed this game to garner more fan support snd help tourney possibility

Not much IMO . Very slow ,he will only play against someone who has a same type player for him to defend. He needs to grow into that new body. A good program player though.
