Charles Dance confirms Game of Thrones movie being discussed (Season 4 spoilers)

He also let slip some very interesting news for Thrones fans: that the show’s producers have been actively discussing a future Game of Thrones movie.
“There’s talk of eventually trying to do a feature film, but I don’t know which of the storylines,” says Dance. “There’s so much to cram into a film.”
Just a very short snippet in a long interview (dark and full of spoilers so tread lightly) with Dance. Obviously if he has an ear to the discussion, that probably suggests a potential Robert's Rebellion storyline.
A good interview all around though. Enjoyed this part:

The craziest thing he ever did on Thrones, he says, came during the first season when the creators approached him and asked, “Are you a vegetarian, Charles?” He replied, “No, why do you ask?” and the duo proceeded to show him a scene of Tywin skinning a deer.
“So, this butcher arrived with a dead animal and they gave me a little room to work in, gave me a sharp knife, and showed me how to skin it and spill the guts into a bucket,” recalls Dance. “The next day, they gave me another dead animal, and we shot it. It was a bloody good time, but it took me two days to get the smell off my hands.”
Enjoy and yes there are spoilers

I thought for sure they were using some kind of fake deer, but that makes Charles Dance all the more bad arse.

i could dig a movie about Roberts rebellion. The books make it seem like it was pretty badass.

Charles is definitely a bad arse and my favorite on the show.

Very intriguing, but there's so much to Robert's Rebellion that you may need 2 or 3 movies to properly tell the story. I've always thought Robert's Rebellion would make sense as a "flashback season" if HBO wanted to drag out GoT's run and/or needed time for GRRM to finish writing the books.

I know he was bested by Robert but I'd also be interested in Prince Rhaegars character. And who they would cast to play him.

Oh yes. I would see this 10 times if they did it about the rebellion and included a well done scene at the Tower of Joy.
Im about to do a reread of the last two books. I cant wait.

You know who I think would be a badass young Tywin: Michael Fasbender.

the way he makes eye contact with people is what really sells the disappointed or serious as shite overbearing father character
he'll be looking at what he's doing and then give the camera a glance...I don't know if anyone could do that role as well as him.
he's also physically imposing, but not in some crazy jacked up way, more like timothy Dalton.

Meh...no need to drag this series out anymore than it already has been.

I don't think you can film the Tower of Joy without just glossing over it and keep the storyline intact.
It's probably why the plot point was removed from the series entirely.

It can only be Hemsworth (and he already banged Margery in that Formula 1 movie.)

Exactly. He's one of the most talented, classically trained actors out there IMO. Plus he has an amazing voice. I love listening to his narrations for The History & Lore of Westeros on each season's DVD.
