Most loveable poster. Also should win the award for not even being a gamer.

I was thinking about an award for not even being a gamer

I honestly think the best route is to slim it down all together, at least this year. Until you know you will get the participation you desire. Also, from lessons learned: nomination threads are a waste of time, get straight into the voting.

Also can we get a number of threads that evolved into:
"Hey look everyone, we all have kids and can't game anymore so we'll just hijack every GB thread saying the exact same shite we said in the thread before this one."

Probably right. A handful of people can make the changes then just put it together. We don't need to vote yet, GOTY isn't even out yet.

Agreed. But for some of the categories, I'd probably need some suggestions for at least 3 of the top games for people to vote on. I could probably come up with most of them, but the RPG genre, if we do that, I wouldn't be the best option with picking the top titles.

Gaming Board Awards "trim the fat/suggestions

The only suggestion I have is to trim it altogether and don't do it. It's gotten progressively worse every year. Started off fun and people were in to it. Then it was still fun and we had a good time but not quite as many people. Last year no one seemed to care at all

I think it's time to give the GB Awards a lifetime achievement award and let it ride off in to the sunset

that was my beef with the way out in left field genres last year, there wasn't a set of obvious front runners to list

I think we can do genre's, just don't go sub-genre. Or just go with the SP and MP category. That might cover them all.

But remember, the fewer game categories we have, the harder it will be to pick 3 or 4 for people to vote on.

I wish I would have bet money on what your response would be.

But who would have taken me up on it?
