We beat the Aggies.
We win a bowl game.
We get a couple high profile surprise recruits.
A few key juniors stay at LSU.
Optimism abounds.

Then Spring practice comes, and we get a month long propaganda campaign on how "wide-open" the offense is. Harris looks "like a young Michael Vick". Jennings is "making great decisions". The offensive line could be "the best we've ever had at LSU" and the wide receivers "are freakishly talented" and each posts videos of them catching balls backwards/upside down at the rec center.

By the time the Spring game comes, we don't actually see this "new wide open approach" but we say...well yeah...Spring Game.... and note the slight indigestion we get as we say it....

Then the season starts and it's a confusing and demoralizing three month long collective WTF full of really boring offense....

Is that a fair assessment of what most people expect?

Don't want to burst your bubble, but we may lose 4 of our offensive lineman, so don't see that being a strength.

Imagine having no passing attack threat and returning only 1 OL starter. We may average 1 ypc next year. I'm going to go insane when everyone starts talking about 2016 being our year early into the 2015 season and how we're young at OL.

If history is any indication, this is what we should all expect. Miles had extremely poor QB selection skills. He straps himself and all of us to very poor one-dimensional QB's. Its his thing.

That's a fair assessment of my view the last few years. I won't be fooled again

If Harris splits reps with the 1's in spring game, I'll ease up a bit.

If Hawkins and Alexander leave, they are getting seriously bad advice.

Really doesn't matter what advice they get at this point. We've been looking at the early entrees into the draft as more of a statement about the player and his family's financial situation well now it's really time to look at it as more of a statement about the state of the program. From our POV It would really make sense for those guys to come back and increase their draft stock but from theirs it can only get worse so they might as well take that leap of faith now rather than later.
