Can anyone recall a RB who has so drastically changed his game from one year to the next ? Went from plodding power back to dropping weight and looking more like a Lesean McCoy. He doesn't look like the same back at all.
Deuce McCallister did the reverse I guess.

He was not a power back last year

He's so patient on every run.

He was closer to a volume plodder than what he is now

I wouldn't say a drastic change... He had 860yards and 8 TDs in like 12 and a half games last year. He was good last year.
He is much better this year though. Last year he lacked explosiveness but was still a good RB and could catch. But now he's reqlly explosive. And is the most patient RB in the NFL right now. It's awesome to watch Bell run.
And go watch his highlights from Mich St... He was just like he is now. The problem last year was that he was hurt in the summer and missed workouts and camp and all that. Foot issue so he couldn't run or stay in shape. Packed on a few LBS.
His playing weight in college was 220-225lbs, last year he was up to 240lbs. This year he's back to his normal playing weight.

I remember starting a thread last season asking who everyone would rather have going forward between him and Lacey after the regular season ended. I said Bell because he had a little more wiggle and lateral quickness but almost everyone said Lacey. Not that they're dumb because both a very talented backs but I just thought it was interesting that it was so lopsided in the responses.

He's bigger than McCoy but he runs just like him

He looks so much more in shape now. Incredible. He looks like a new man. So freaking shifty.

Not the first time I've heard Leveon Bell compared to Lesean McCoy this season.

I think he's more similar to Forte. Maybe a little more physical.

I've never seen a back just stop in the hole like him. He runs like a basketball player setting up a crossover dribble.

he's sneaky good at catching passes out of the backfield too.

He's more explosive than forte imo
