Never had a pickled egg. Craved pickled onions when pregnant.

The pink ones are definitely the worst, I'd still eat them though.

If you like boiled eggs and spicy stuff, you'll love them.

I hate when the admins move threads sometimes, this was a bout a large public perspective and that's why I put it on the OT, not the F&B. Everyone on the F&B will say they are good.

I only had them for the first time a while back at Sylvain.

LOVED them.

I had no idea they were a regular thing.

You really could pickle just about anything and I'll love it.

I've made myself sick on pickled quail eggs. And I'll do it again.

That's not a normal pickled egg

They are always good, but that one at Sylvain is on fleek.

Growing up I used to make myself sick on pickled quail eggs.

They're grosser? Or better?

* "Normal" ones, that is.

The ones we use to grab at gas stations, or my grandparents would make, or Clyde down the road would make aren't quite as delicately flavored. That one had real depth of flavor. The coonasses down the bayou just hit you in the face with flavor, at least that's how it was where I was from. Not better or worse, just different.

Well, you are missing out on the greatness that is pickled red onions, if anything.

But really, you don't eat jalapenos?

pickled red onions

Have become a huge fan of these lately. I make quick pickled red onions, and about an hour later I have the perfect all around topping for sandwiches, burgers, tacos, etc. easy, tangy, storable, crispy

I like pickled okra, green beans, red onions, etc, but I ironically don't like regular pickles. Go figure
