Not a comic reader, but vaguely aware of the characters/plots...my question is, wouldn't Harvey Dent be a little nearer Bruce's age?

You are right. He was the youngest DA to ever be elected in Gotham, and I believe he was elected about a year or a few months before Bruce started fighting crime as Batman. So Bruce may have been a couple years younger, but not that much younger.

They've had no qualms showing a very young Bruce Wayne and a very young Selina Kyle. My guess is that we're going to be seeing a younger Harvey Dent and what possessed him to want to be so virtuous in fighting Gotham's crime later in life.

99% of Harvey's backstory is made up of retcons, additions, and changes. There's really no set-in-stone age for him.

I thought he looked younger also. But Gordon was in the war, then a cop for several years. So I wrote it off as he had a more intense/harder past few years than Dent.
