The melt 11 days later....is still strong.

Any realistic Tiger fan knew this year had the makings of an 8-4 type season. To much youth on offense and question marks on defense.
With that being said, watching this season has been very frustrating. It appeared early on our defense couldn't stop anyone but they have greatly improved, only to see the offensive production disappear.
I said last week, after the Bama loss, that Miles would have to do his greatest coaching job that week to have this team prepared to beat Arkansas.
He obviously did not have a good week of practice and it showed during the game. Why is it, when a running back fumbles or makes a mistake he is often relegated to the bench. But certain qb's are allowed to continually make the same mistakes but stays in the game.
There is a huge disconnect with our offensive philosophy compared to the rest of college football. It seems that you have to be a 5th year senior to totally grasp this offense, even though most outsiders consider our offense middle school.
Those of you calling for Miles to be fired need to realize that is not going to happen this year, even if we get shut-out at A&M and lose a bowl game. Ending the season on a 4-game losing streak will certainly put Miles on the hot seat next year.
I think Miles has reached his peak at LSU and I am thankful for what he has done, but I sure hope Michigan comes calling and Miles accepts.
Someone compared Miles to Dale Brown and I some what agree with that comparison, but Brown built the basketball program from nothing to a national power back to nothing. Miles inherited a national power and is slowly taking the program backwards.
I am worried that if Miles stays, just like Brown, for as long as he wants the program will remain a middle of the pack SEC program.

He makes them fragile the way he treats the position.

Last year Jeremy hill was benched after a fumble. Jeremy fricken hill. The guy was an nfl rb last year playing college ball. And he was benched. But yet AJ who can't hit the broad side of a barn and fumbles, nah let's give this guy another shot.
