Nebraska hospital: Surgeon with Ebola has died

Sad. It sounds like he was late getting help because his first blood test came back negative for Ebola after he developed symptoms.
I doubt there was anything we could do as he was so sick before he came here.

I think that some people are making too much of the medical community's precautions regarding Ebola, they are obviously erring on the side of caution. When someone is showing symptoms they are possibly contagious, when they aren't symptomatic they aren't contagious.

ugh. Even when you start showing the early symptoms like fever and fatigue you're not that contagious.

This is very sad. I have a very good friend who is from Liberia. He lived in the refugee camp for many months before he was given permission to come to the United States. He and I bunked together on the MS Gulf Coast when we were first-responders after Katrina. He loves the U.S. He has a perspective on things that few people tend to possess.He still has extended family in west Africa.
