Actually there are basememts in NOLA and I know of houses in Natchez with basements.

There are basements in BR, many of them.

Also, I think it is a NWS release they just republished.

I met someone who lives in the Garden District who said she has one of those rare basements. Maybe some of the older houses which were built in areas less prone to flooding have them.

Many? I will say some. About a half dozen I know of in CCL. Would imagine some on Highland. There is one off Summerfield in the AP.

Fantastic. The occupants of 6 or so houses in the Garden District and a few LSU dorms are perfectly safe.
