Who really gives a shite? This team has no heart and have now lost b2b home games. What the frick does a home playoff game mean now?

That has to be prior to today bc Atlanta is healthier and better than us and I think has an easier schedule

bullshite. No matter what our record is, nobody objectively wants to face the Saints in the Dome in a single elimination game. There's too much potential that we catch fire like we did against Green Bay, and then just light up the scoreboard. It might not happen, but it's absolutely been established that Brees can explode in big games here.

Realistically, looking at the playoff picture; a team would be retarded to not want to come here. Out of all the teams that have a shot to be in the playoffs; we would be the most desirable to play at home.

Cardinals 9 1 0 2-0 7-0
Lions 7 3 0 2-0 5-2
Eagles 7 3 0 2-0 4-3
Falcons 4 6 0 4-0 4-4
Wild Card W L T DIV CONF
Packers 7 3 0 3-1 5-3
Cowboys 7 3 0 1-1 4-3
In The Hunt W L T DIV CONF
49ers 6 4 0 1-2 5-3
Seahawks 6 4 0 0-1 4-2

I guess considering the Falcons are actually leading the shite heap south right now; teams would rather go there than here.
Objectively, we are for sure the softest destination on that list.

Arizona has Drew Stanton starting at QB, and a 3 game lead in the division. They are likely going to hold on and win the West, maybe even take home field advantage; but I don't think they win their first game. Sucks for them.

If you throw teams into a pile, and say "on a neutral field"... sure, the Saints are everyone's 1st pick. But, if you say "versus Saints in the Dome on a late game", then, no. Teams will feel like they got a tough draw.
Forget today's loss, and try to be objective for a second. If we host, and Brees hits a big play early, and starts hitting Graham in rhythm... are you still betting we lose? I'm guessing the other teams' fans will be shitting all over themselves saying "this ain't fair, we should be at home".

I wish we could every game at night time in the Superdome

Saints at home... Could be good or could be extremely stale

Saints at home for prime time...they are a different beast

I'm just looking at it objectively. As bad as we've been this year, we still had the Green Bay game. You might say that's a one-time event, an aberration. I guarantee the other playoff teams won't see it that way, as there are quite a few such games in fairly recent history.
Is it guaranteed to happen? No way; but it sure as hell could. Nobody nationally would be shocked it we slipped in to the playoffs and then put 40+ on the board our first game.

We had our toughest games this year at home and this particular three game stretch was looking brutal. I hoped for 2-1 during the 49ers, Bengals, and Ravens. My hopes were up to 3-0 with how anemic the 49ers and Bengals looked prior to playing the Saints.

Now going 1-2 is a must and the Ravens game is an absolute must win.

Ravens - W - just can't see us losing 3 in a row
@ Steelers - L - Gonna be a miserable game
Panthers - W - Panthers blow
@ Bears - L - Soldier Field curse
Falcons - W - May be for the division
@ Buccaneers - L - Rest starters with division wrapped up (hopefully)

So that leaves us 7-9, and the winner of the coveted NFC South.

They still have to play Green Bay (at its hottest) and Arizona.

Then pass it to me.

Every team that would make the playoffs today would come in a beat this team, as they are today. While injuries are piling up, they are playing their worst football in all 3 phases.

Yes, they could get hot. But if having a division lead, in week 9, at 4-4, with 3 home games coming up and you drop the next 2, this team doesn't seem to want it. No fire. No urgency. And no one willing to admit it.

I feel sorry for you guys losing fingernails scratching to hold on to hope.

Power to you all though. Ignorance is bliss, the older I get, the more negative and cynical I get about my football teams. I look more forward to options this off season than hope at a limping playoff appearance.

Exactly.

They have Cleveland off a bad loss, but they were HOT.

Arizona, even without a QB is still a crazy defense to play against.

@ Green Bay, prime time? No way.

Pittsburgh is a toss up

@ Nola, who knows this is truly for the division like someone said

Carolina might wanna play spoiler

We are not healthy at all, not playing well, not coaching well and not playing well at home.

I want what Nate Silver is drinking.
