I bought this garage selling yesterday. There are no marks. Most of the other stuff I bought were marked Germany or West Germany.

Has Germany always marked their gold in their jewelry. This just has a look and feel to it, it was not some cheap costume jewelry.

Is there a home test of gold, other than a gold kit?

Wait, your name here is "theantiquetiger", and you don't know of any home gold testing methods?

Is it magnetic? If it pulls to the magnetic it's fake. If you have a sharpening stone rub some of it on there. If it rubs any color other than gold, you know it's plated

Or just bring it to a gold store tomorrow acting like you want to sell it

Thanks, just checked, magnet does not stick to them.

Looks like I am heading to a jeweler tomorrow.
