I really think something is going to happen. It's absurd to think TAF will simply overlook that performance last night by Miles. Again, not that we lost, but that he doesn't run our best running back, and refuses to pull a QB who the entire viewing public knew had zero chance to lead LSU back to victory. Les Miles quit on LSU last night. Given that he did the same thing 1/9, I just find it very difficult to believe that this will just be brushed aside. I honestly believe that Les lost a significant portion of the LSU/Miles fanbase last night, at least the ones that remained. I don't think there is any question that this will start to impact other areas of the program if something does not change. Maybe not firing him, but at least demanding some change. That pathetic excuse for an offense is beginning to turn away the most avid LSU fans. JMO

After 2012 I wanted MIles to change. Now I don't want him to change just leave.

Do people really think this is the offense we want to run?

Last year was the offense we want to run, and our QBs aren't capable of running it.

Obviously this isn't, but it's the same offense we have had for 6 out of the last 7 years. At some point, you know, you have to cut your losses. I don't know if Retig is any good or not, but if I had to guess, I don't think there is any way possible that he is worse that Jennings. Les had to realize how bad Jennings was....how could he let that guy get away?

Really can't disagree. I'd bet you could go back and look at every miles related post I've ever made, and I don't think I've been anything BUT super supportive of him, so this post is coming from the most ardent of clm fans. After last night, I did lose quite a bit of faith in him, and the overall direction of where he's taking the program. As you said, last night was a "quit" job. That is unacceptable.

The only way things will change in the program is when the Mega TAF Donors put pressure on Miles and Alleva, because that's who they work for.

So we must have an NFL QB,2 WRs and a RB to be successful? That sounds like an awesome offense to run. smh

Yeah, this is the sad reality. He had time to make changes; he didn't. Now time's up.

I don't think these are the only two options. But under CLM, there is really only one option: His way. Period.

Jennings wouldn't make any offense look good.

This offense could work with a decent QB, not a bad one.

No, obviously it isn't. Which is precisely why you adapt the offense to match the skills/strengths of the personnel you have. Is this not what coaches are paid to do?

It could, but LSU's continued struggles with passing, regardless of OC, indicates to me that Les' offensive scheme is the main problem. Other teams break in new QBs without this much difficulty. And the fact that it even took Mett two years in the system before he thrived is further indication that it's the system.

What skill of jennings do you adapt the offense too?

I don't think jennings does anything well enough to build an effective offense around.

He doesn't make good reads, he doesn't make good throws. He isn't a very fast, or an extremely strong runner.

I agree with most of this post. but how more chances miles will ay OC? how many has he went through? it's the same ole crap except for last year. miles chances has run out imo.
