OK well this one came down a couple mornings ago. Old Geauxt held the ladder & I climbed up & wrapped in a trash bag, pulled it off, tied a knot in the bag, handed it to Geauxt & said Merry Christmas

Now ya'll have to wait on Ole Geauxt to tell about his present

If this really happened and there is no video, the pair of you should be tarred and feathered...

It happened & we didn't have a spare hand to video. Went as planned as my part went. The trash bag set on the back of a side by side at the camp for a couple days. Geauxt asked me yesterday what I was gonna do with it & told him again that was his present

Got another hornet nest to remove but this one will be a lot trickier

Don't do like a couple friends did. Cold as shite, they removed one. Kept it and hand it in the cab of the truck. On the ride home with the heater on, guess what happen.

It's alive.

I was drivin' Trigger down that dang nascar dirt track those parishes "call" a road listening to a lil Porter and Dolly on the Philco, nice and cozy with the engine hot air vent blowing on me, when I started hearing curious noises. Soon as Porter and Dolly quit sangin', I pulled em out of the deck and started listening to the noises. It was like that damn Hefty Bag came alive, I swear it seemed like it started hoverin' and moving around with a combination of noises inside tween a rattler snake and a hummin' bird. The dang black sack was possessed wif da devil inside.!

Wonder what your Mrs would've said if you'd made it home & handed it to her before they came alive

same thing that was always said when I came home from the camp,, whether 7 hours or 7 days,,,,"whatevers in the garbage sack, if you're gonna eat it, you need to cook it, I'm going to the mall".

Just saw this update on the hornet nest. Funny thing was that I was thinking about that hornet nest this week while I was draggin out some firewood from the mountain. Figgered you and OG had burnt it down...

This one was easy. I've got another one that's gonna be tricky I've got to cut them limb or tree down before the trash bag goes over it. Don't know what's gonna happen when it hits the ground

I'd take a loooong stick with a kerosene soaked rag on the end of the stick and set that nest on fire. It's mighty pleasurable watchin them things burn up. We need video!

Here ya go, Nascar. You can let Geauxt be the videographer (he only needs one hand for this, anyway). LINK

Well, if yall can't reach it from the ground, just shoot it out with the 12 gauge whilst the other one films it. They won't sting this time of year, anyway.

Either way it's gonna hit the ground & that's what I'm scared of even if it's cold

This is true. No sting, just cut them down. Have someone film.

You can let Geauxt stand about a mile away and sling a round from his 243-7mm mag-08-06 into that nest. If they don't fly outta there, it's cold enough for short range work with the 12 gauge. 50 degrees ain't cold enough, btw. Been there, done that...

You and Ole Geauxt need to just jump in amongst em while they're on the ground and do this: LINK
