Help me decide which way to go. Right now I'm leaning towards S5 because of the water/dust proof.

G3

Samsung build quality is shite. Unless you are prone to swimming with your phone, go with the g3.

G3 and it's not even remotely close.

S5 is shite.

Thanks guys. I duck hunt a lot, guess with the G3 I just put a otter box to protect from rain or such

I'm not a fan of the Samsung devices now that I've gotten any from them. I have a nexus 5 and a moto x (2014). The moto x has slightly less impressive specs than the g3 but I've had many Motorola phones over the years and they are durable as hell. My nexus 4 (lg) didn't hold up as well as my Samsung s4. The nexus 5 seems to be doing better so far, but I prefer my moto x over any of them.

Agreed. I'd go with the Nexus 6, personally. Stock Android and updates coming straight from Google mean the most to me though.

I like being able to swap out batteries, only thing that keeps me with Samsung.

Get the S5 because you deserve it. Its the best phone on the market hands down. Superior tech to anything else out there.

Anyone who mentions the S5 deserves it. Especially when they mention it in the same breath with a vastly superior device. How that damn phone continues to be brought up here on a weekly basis as a consideration fascinates me.

G3 allows you to swap batteries.

I have a G3 and while I'd probably get a Nexus 6 now, the G3 is a much better device than the S5.

My brother has a G3 and loves everything about it except for the battery life.

To all that said get the G3. I dislike it. I have a lot of stalling switching between screens and i'm not receiving all my text messages.
