What's the real time ETA on a TWIC card?

Need to apply for mine and was just wondering what kinda time frame I'm looking at. I hear the expected time and actual time vary quite a bit. Is there any way to expedite the process? TIA

Mine took like 2 months because of some nationwide screwup which caused a huge backlog. But normally it's only supposed to take a couple of weeks.

Mine took 2 months, but they were juicing up their computer systems and fricked up about 40,000 peoples cards.

I know ex-felons who possess valid TWIC cards.
Check with your employer as far as the facilities you're gonna' be in; although the receipt DOES suffice for TWIC credentials, a facility is not bound to honor it as such.
Also, there have been some equipment issues nationally that produce the cards; whole batches have been recalled this year because the "strip" was encoded incorrectly. Hopefully you won't face that issue, but if you do, be prepared for perhaps a 3+ month wait.

Got mine in Aug... was about 3 weeks.
Someone got hired on right after me and was 6+ weeks. Just depends on how many are applying simultaneously
