Right now Rivers>Gordon

Rivers is showing up. It is simple as that. Should he start yet? I think so. I dislike Gordon though so...

Gordon is so turnover prone and misses simple shots right now. It is OBVIOUS to anyone that attends games or actually watches.

Monty will not pull the trigger on this. Rivers still young and Gordon salary demands he plays(I would think)

everyone knows about my man crush on rivers but I don't think he should start over Gordon. not yet at least. Gordon is in a slump right now the only way to get out of a slump is to continue to shoot. eventually he will get his rhythm back. however, if by around game 15 or so he is still this bad it may be time to change it up

Id like to think so. I base my opinion on my dislike of Gordon.

However we are a better team with a better Gordon. I cannot deny that.

Pleasantly surprised with how well Rivers is playing.

I may be wrong about this, but I think Rivers is staying put in his role with the second unit because he is playing better. All we need Gordon to do with the first unit is play good defense. We don't need him to score. Rivers is beginning to create good looks for himself and others with the second team. Imagine if we left that up to Kneesus...

I think Gordon would actually benefit from playing off the bench. The only part he has been good at this year is defense, but I think coming off the bench will take a lot of weight off his shoulders that he's been feeling this season. I still think he should be gone after this season, as I do not believe he really wants to play here, but hopefully they bench him sooner than later.

he may not want to play here but he will still choose to if we can't get rid of him

No kidding. It's really annoying to watch. At first signing Gordon sounded like such a good idea on paper, but man has it been a bad investment so far. At least the other signings have been solid. Reke, Ryno, an Jrue have been awesome so far.

His contract has been the longest running nightmare. Seems like it's been a decade we've been trying to get rid of him.

So you make this thread the game after he starts the game with 5 assists on about 8 touches in the first quarter? Look, I get it, no one likes Gordon. He is horrendously overpaid. To put it lightly, he can't throw the ball in the ocean right now. Having said all of that, I really think part of his problem is adjusting to a new role. His usage is very low right now. He is basically in a 3 and D role (minus the 3 right now.)

He will never live up to his contract, especially with the way he is being used. However, he can really help us if he can start hitting shots. Like TigerinATL said earlier, if he hits at his career averages then we would all be dreaming of trades. Let the season play out.

You don't make huge changes after 7 games in an 82 game season when you are above .500. The thing that scares me is we have multiple years of data on Gordon and Rivers and so far their numbers just don't match their history. If at Christmas time their numbers are similar, then I would entertain switching lineups.

Well one is in his third year while the other had 'injuries' and his 'heart was in Phoenix"

I would agree, just my mind is made up on Goron because...

This is kind of my point. I don't think many people on here have made up their mind on Gordon because of basketball data but because of all the other issues. I'm not the biggest fan of the guy either, but as a basketball player he has been much, much better than Rivers over his career, minus the past three weeks.

We need to find another 2 guard.

It's become apparent that Gordon and Rivers just don't cut it.

Gordan is better than Rivers btw
