seeing what people think of this idea. Rivers has had a good start to the season and it seems like by the game, Gordon's confidence and fit with the starts is getting worse and worse. I think it would be a better fit for Tyreke and Jrue and will also give Gordon a chance to be the main focal point coming off the bench. Don't know if Monty would pull the trigger on this, but think it's worth a shot. Other than that, really like the way the team is shaping up.

I'm sick and tired of everyone on here showing no faith in Kneesus! Give the man some time. He is a pretty good basketball player!

I'm in the, let's wait 15-20 games camp. Rivers played fantastic D last night on Kobe, but it seems to me he only gets hyped up to guard the big guns. Gordon's defensive effort has been more consistent (yeah, weird to type that).

Gordon from the 1st quarter last night is preferable to Rivers imo. If his shot can start falling, he's still the better player. Not to mention the fact that one will probably be here next year and one probably won't. We need Gordon to find his groove.

Let Austin get extended minutes with the 1's and we'll be begging for Gordon back.

Based on what? 3 years ago?

Austin's PER this year is 13.5 on 20 minutes a game.

Gordon's PER is 3.5 on 33 minutes a game.

3.5.

Rivers is playing fine this year. Should he be a starter on most teams? Hell no.

But Gordon shouldn't even be in a good team's rotation right now.

I know his PER has increased, but to me, that doesn't mean much. I know a lot view it as the end all, be all.

I've said a few times that Austin plays nice for stretches at a time, but for me, he looks outclassed. Untimely turnovers and bricked shots. Explosive first step but can't finish consistently at the rim.

His production this year has fine and he's finished much better.

If Austin looks outclassed, Gordon must not even be in class.

Do you really think Gordon's shooting struggles will continue?

The guy just hasn't lost it, it has been 7 games.

I want Gordon gone just as much as the next guy but he is still a much better player than Rivers.

Its actually more than 7 games bc i thought he looked the same way in the preseason. I'm not saying I think he's a terrible player, just something seems off with him. Honestly i think the injuries have taken a toll and he's no where near the player he used to be. His shooting will get better, i don't doubt that, but his overall quickness and explosiveness i think is gone.

I really think it's just a shooting slump for Gordon. He looks the healthiest he's been in NOLA. That midrange block he had in one of the first two games was impressive.

I agree with that. He is nowhere near the athlete he used to be in LA. It is most obvious in his vertical game.

But he still can blow by guys every now and then and his shooting will improve. He has much better passing skills than Rivers and both are good defensively.

I am an anti-Gordon guy but to compare him to Rivers because of this start is off base IMO. Gordon will improve, No way he can continue to miss wide-open shots he has made his entire career.

If you start Rivers it's not to give him 32 minutes a game, it's to switch up the roles and have him playing a reduced role. Rather than leading the 2nd unit he'd be role playing with the starters.

I agree. If he were shooting at his career averages we'd probably be overrating him and dreaming of trades at the deadline.

Don't know what the updated statistics are but rivers was leading our guards on fg percentage in the restricted area at greater than 60% before last night's game. Anybody still hating on AR is just relying on old narratives. Not saying he should be a starter but he is far away from his former self.

That's fair.
