I'll never forget going to Little rock in 2000. It was freezing cold, windy and a light rain all day. It was miserable. The Tigers came out in these huge yellow cold weather jackets with hoods. They looked like a bunch of shivering cold yellow and black Eskimos.

I looked across the field and the Razorbacks were out there to a man in nothing but short sleeve jerseys. They were making a statement that it was Hog weather.

We were sure we were going to kick their arse and go to the Cotton Bowl.

John Thompson ( the D coordinator that quit on Nick ) studied Jimbo's tendencies in the off season. He had his linebacker jump the short pass route the first play of the game. it went for a pick six and it was pretty much over at that point. What miserable day.

Anyway we should be ok with our great running game, but our skill guys may suffer. Most of these kids have never even seen snow, much less played in it. The good news is it looks like the forecast for snow has shifted to Sunday. Let's hope that holds up.

Not too worried. Instead of completing 8 passes, they will complete 3 or 4. Big deal. They are a running team anyway.

Same deal for Arky. It was 70 degrees yesterday, the cold front just hit. No one in Arky is "used" to the cold weather.

This will be a very cold game. I'd expect wind chill just below 30.

The weather does not concern me all that much. Both teams are exactly the sort you'd want for playing in such an environment, that's the problem, it's a mirror match. Both teams are simply going to try to run down the other one's throat in the environment most conducive for doing so. Field position, interior line play, and who gets to play with the lead will all be crucial.

Yep, I'm here in Hogville. The front is hitting N and Central AR as I type. It will be cold, likely raining. And the previous guy is right, it's been really nice up here for quite a while and this is the first cold front of the year. It will be the same for both teams (and fans).

Glad I won't be making this trip. Screw sitting in that kind of cold for three hours

Arkansas players aren't any more used to playing in winter weather than the LSU players are. It may get colder in Fayetteville, but its not usually this early.

And that was not a light rain in Little Rock that day, maybe not hard, but definitely steady. You couldn't even get out of it because the stadium had so many leaks that it was practically raining in the bathrooms. The biggest question mark that day was the decision to give Tommy Banks double digit carries...

They see snow a good bit more than we do

I do remember going to Home Depot and buying these contractor rain suits with big overalls/bibs. I stuck a hot muffalotto in the bib pocket on my chest to help warm me up. Lasted about 30 seconds then I ate it walking in to the stadium.

If you live in NW Arkansas, you are familiar with cold weather.

I used to see LSU teams go to Lexington, KY at night in October. Many times it wasn't pretty when the temps were in low 40s.

Now I feel bad for you when LSUGrad9295 reads your thread about the weather that is happening down the road.

Bad weather, good weather, doesn't matter. This LSU team is NOT beating Arkansas on Saturday. I feel this LSU team has given up after the Bama loss. Arkansas will get their first conference win in forever against us.

Actually, given the weather, we may only see 20 pass attempts total. Likely to be one of the shortest games of the year (assuming no overtime).

What makes you think this? These Tigers have heart. They will be ready to play Saturday. Our offense is perfect for this type of weather and our defense has been stellar. Tigers keep the boot in its rightful place.

May shut down Air Jennings, we should stay home. Maybe Garrett can play this week, finally cool enough.

Well this game is not hard to figure out both teams are going to run the hell out of the ball. I just hope the LSU coaching staff has the team prepared for any trick-er-ration from Arky because you can bet they will have some dialed up to try and get there first SEC win for their coach against an SEC powerhouse.

To say I am not worried about this game, would be an utter and complete lie. This game has me worried big-time! If Beckwith is not 100% for the game it truly could be a long day for LSU. Their 2-headed rushing monster attack have racked up over 1600yds and 20 TD's. They are a good running team and this is going to be a throwback slugfest!!!!

I wouldnt worry about the weather. I heard we are just going to put an ice cube at QB in order to withstand the weather. With that, we will only have 76 yards less passing then last week

this narrative is so old and based on nothing. we've lost to Alabama the past 2 seasons prior and won out in the regular season after that loss. Why do people automatically assume the team has given up? This is a young team that lost their first two SEC games to start the season. If they were going to give up, they would have done so after the Auburn game.
