i hear academics

He's had his issues with academics since before he even got here. And has been in th doghouse because of that. Odds are he and the staff had an agreement in place about him going to class and taking care of his work, and he just didn't do it.

Everything I've heard is that he flat out hasn't been going to class.

Well he was in trouble at the begging of the year, so the coaches were probably keeping track of him.
