My little girl wants a new console for Christmas. She has a Wii. What are the primary differences between the two? TIA

Honestly I'd recommend a WiiU over a PS4 or Xbone depending on her age.

From what I've heard, PS4 looks slightly better, Xbox is a better media center.

How young is she? Age would be a big factor in deciding which console to buy, but the most important factor is friends, IMO. Does she have friends that play or are interested in gaming? If yes, find out what platforms they have or are leaning towards and get her that.

As much as I love my PS4, I cannot really recommend it for a little girl.

Agreed. Best console for kids. The game pad is pretty cool to interact with in some of the games. Plus its backwards compatible with the Wii meaning that Wii games will play on it.

Wii U. Best investment I've made. Girlfriend stays on it while I'm on my pc or playing drums.
