That first pride demon wrecked my party in no time. Playing on Hard may have been a bad decision. I had to use all 8 health potions to beat him (me being a lightning mage and him being immune to lightning sure helped...).
I've only died once so far. I got wrecked by a level 8 outlaw in the Hinterlands when I was level 3.
But yeah, this game is really fun and has a similar feel to the first one.

Yeah that pride demon in the intro fricked me up too on hard.
I've found success at some challenging rifts by using the terrain and mage range to my advantage
If you can get to a high point, and put a lot of distance between yourself and the mobs before pulling, you have a better chance of success.
If you get bottlenecked in a choke point, you will have a bad time

You guys should have seen me trying to set up camp in the hinterlands but I had no potions and everybody low on health, that was when I stumbled upon those great bears. Those are some relentless mofos, I couldn't lose them via running and just gave up

Two of those bastards got me to.
I had just finished fighting some outlaws and looting their corpses when the bears showed up.
Wrecked. My. shite.

Momma bear said frick you and your whole crew
Had anyone used the war table to go somewhere else yet? Or used inquisition perks? Or are we all just running around the hinterlands leveling up still

I've started exploring the fallow mire, but I've hit an area where the enemies are tough so I'm headed back to the hinterlands

I've gone everywhere available on the right side map. Most of them are just tasks your envoys see to, and they return with some loot or goodies. The exception being a bog down south where some barbarians are holding you soldiers captive. That area is full of undead and those giant stick men (lesser/greater evil). I've only made two camps in that area, and that's it.
The left side, I've only been to Val _____ to meet with the chantry, but did not explore at all.

After getting the horse from the guy in the Hinterlands was the first time I got a perk point. I don't know if the two are related or not.

Well, I'm still getting my arse kicked on occasion there, so I'm gonna hang there for a while.

I used one inquisition perk to gain an additional potion.
I unlocked one area in North Ferelden but I haven't gone there yet. I plan on finishing the Hinterlands first.

Me to. I think the "eagle eye" perk is next for me.
Says it "greatly" increases the range of your search "ping".

The Bears in this are easier to kill than in farcry. Fricking bears.

Quiet in here. Everybody grinding away?

I think I'm too old!
I think I just need to get my spot on the porch and yell at you punks on the street because I still can't seem to get the hang of movement and attacking.
Also is there an easier way to loot crap or do you really have to always be right damn next to the loot?

They said once you stop the fighting, you can enter red cliff. I stopped the fighting and I'm still not allowed into red cliff.

I'm trying to figure out how to get in myself, the bitch just tells me I need to prove myself.

Have you tried hailing a carriage in Ferelden?
Impossible.

I don't remember any black NPCs from DAO or DA2. Whiter than Star Wars.
