Bought a used F-250 in June of this year and here in November, I still have not received my plates. I have spoken with them several times at which they gave me excuses and deadlines to which I would have my plates by. These deadlines have passed repeatedly. I cannot reach them half of the time and I have to go up there to speak with someone. I received the title and I like the truck, but this is a problem.

Is it worth it to have a lawyer involved, or should I just keep pushing them myself? I have placed negative reviews on all sites I could find and contacted the BBB but they are not accredited. Any advice appreciated.

FYI:
Neighborhood Motors
3275 Millerville Rd
Baton Rouge, LA 70816
(225) 218-6465

Do not buy anything from them.

UPDATE: Got my plates this morning. Finally went up there while the owner happened to be there and he dug around for awhile and found my plates that have been there for weeks but nobody bothered to call me. My cell phone number was written on the registration that was attached to the plate. He said he would chew out the one responsible for not contacting me. Poor business.

You should be careful about who you approach about this. I'm pretty sure you're in possession of stolen property.

Then why did you purchase from them again?

Your payment was misapplied to the wrong account and we are working diligently to correct. It was an error on our end and as a result, Jackie is no longer working for us.

I prefer to keep all private matters private and don't appreciate you posting our company's information.

Can I ask you to remove?

If it was a stolen truck, wouldn't I have problems getting a title?

Waste of time. BBB is a private organization that operates like the mafia.

File a complaint with the state attorney general or something.

If purchased from an independent used car dealer, submit a complaint to the Used Motor Vehicle Commission.

I'm assuming the name "Shady Dealers" was already taken.

Sounds like he doesn't appreciate no return calls or being bullshitted.

To keep it private maybe you should have done more to satisfy him.

I have already paid the dealer the TTL. I would have to pay that again if I did that.

My original temp tag expired in August. I went there, they gave me excuses then another temp tag that expired last week. Now I am driving with another expired tag, risking getting pulled over.

That is why you need to report them to the LUMVC. They regulate used car dealers.
