Does this guy not have to block? He doesnt block anyone or chip anyone. He just runs out of the backfield every single play. Hes an average guy who just pads his fantasy stats because of the style they play.

He's been in this offense for a season and a half. He's spent most of his career in a shitty offense, with no other weapons. Why was he so productive then?

I can name plenty of average backs that have produced.

This thread wasnt even suppose to be about his production though. I was more wondering about the offensive scheme. They dont even give their receivers a chance to get down the field because Cutler dumps the ball after 3 seconds way to much. The offense would be more productive if they used Forte to block and gave Alshon and Brandon more opportunities down the field.

When he got to Chicago in 2008 his QB was Kyle Orton, their top WR was Devin Hester and still he leads the Nfl in yards from scrimmage since 2008. But yeah, you're right, he's just average.

Fwiw, he blocked on pass plays a lot early in the season. Against, SF and NYJ.

Blocking isn't exactly his forte

I think Darryl is usually pretty pro-Tulane IIRC.

Both of my parents are Tulane grads and my dad and uncle played football at Tulane. I'm definitely pro Tulane. I definitely shouldn't have said average after I thought about it. I was more curious about their offensive scheme.

Curtis is doing fine imo based on what he was left with.
