Why was Cam Cameron Hired?

Was it just to shut LSU fans up at the time? Everyone was pretty butt sore about LSU's lack of a passing attack, lack of developing QBs, and plain vanilla style rushing attack. Lo and behold, CCC is signed, and we are thrilled. Mett is on board so it looks like we got it made. But wait. Mett was not recruited by LSU, he had been playing ball for a while by the time LSU got him. I know CCC helped develop him, but really when was the last time LSU recruited a kid from HS, and turned him into anything better than a mediocre QB? Jamarcus, Flynn? Who Miles didn't even recruit? WTF? I know Jennings is a So., but damn the way he plays and the way they don't trust him or Harris to make a play in the passing game makes the CCC hire look not nearly as glamorous as it was 3 years ago. Why the hell can't we develop a QB, for fricks sake. So here we are, looking for all the world like it's 2010, but we have the awesome O coordinator. And guess what. We still aren't doing anything other that toss dives or read options. And don't tell me it's because the QBs are young. It's the coaches goddamn job to get them ready, AJ has had 2 years in this system, and he can't play worth a shite.

Good call. Never thought of that.

It is Camerons second year, Jennings is incompetent, let's see how Harris develops over the years, patience is a virtue

Everybody who thought the OC really mattered and Les would give up control over how this offense looks really deluded themselves.
Les has a general conservative Bo Schembechler philosophy and that will never change.

window dressing...that would be it

You guys realize that Cameron has his hands tied with a shitty QB right? Running out of I works for us. We started to suck when we passed more. You guys are delusional

Anthony Jennings isn't the person tying Cameron's hands behind his back.

All I can say is screw you. You act like this is Harris/Jennings senior season. When one of them is tearing it up in a year or two you'll stfu. Chi, Quinn, and Jones all had crucial drops last night. Could Harris be more effective passing than jennings? Probably. But you don't make the decisions. Also, Mettenberger was terrible in 2012 besides the bama game. Cam is one of the best offensive minds in the game. Harris admires him and Mettemberger praises him. So your madden franchise mode coaching experience is not needed.

Cam inherited a program that didn't have a clue about recruiting the right type of quality QB for the program. LSU would have a group of QB's who are in developmental stages and be ready to play as Juniors. Instead, he got Mettenburger who was very talented and nothing behind him. It is going to take two more years to set up the progression.
Miles allowed this to totally screwed up when Ryan Perrilloux washed out and never bothered to fix the problem. Them team has steadily declined since then.
Make no mistake about it, Cam Cameron is by far our best coach on this staff. The Chief is of course a great coach as well. Miles and Pevito are both idiots.

We'd all love this but if you can't understand the skepticism, god help you.

I understand it. But if you don't have high expectations for Harris or trust in cam's ability, God help you

Cautiously optimistic at best right now. Until Harris starts seeing the field, he isn't the QB.

Bo was not that good at Michigan, he was another win a bunch of games but routinely get his arse handed to him by Ohio St. I guess Miles is becoming our Bo and Saban playing the role of Woody Hayes.

LSU can't recruit/develop QB's properly. Period.
It's not even like they are just mediocre...they are just plain bad.

I've thought this for some time. We have gotten ourselves into that exact same situation.
The scary thing is look where Michigan is today and where Ohio State is. year after year where Miles screws up games against Alabama and the media ridicules LSU and Miles for it, our national respect as a program and university slowly declines.
Like it or not, Les Miles is the face of Louisiana State University. We're not looking too good right now.
I think it is time for him to go.

I made the analogy elsewhere this morning. That's EXACTLY what it is.
Michigan won games. Ohio State won championships. Michigan was happy with 9 win seasons because it was better than 6 win seasons. Sound familiar?

How quickly people forget Mett's transformation last year.

While it's completely and totally frustrating, even a blind person can see that Jennnings is incompetent. Maybe he'll progress maybe he won't.. Either way I say it's AJ tying Cams hands, not miles.
