Sh’mar Kilby-Lane surprised a lot of people when he committed to Florida State over Ohio State. The four-star linebacker is still happy with his FSU pledge, but he’s also thinking about taking some visits.
Sh'mar Kilby-Lane took his official visit to Florida State when the Seminoles welcomed Clemson. The Hallandale (Fla.) star really enjoyed his visit and became more excited at the thought of playing for FSU.
“It was very nice, good surroundings, crowd, nice intensity (in the) game. Florida State is a really good team, it’s a great defense, a defense I’d like to play in,” he said.
Ohio State is still in the picture, but it’s LSU that’s really turned up the heat on Kilby-Lane.
“I am planning to go to LSU, but I’m not sure when, I have to set up a date,” he said.
“They were pretty much one of the first schools to start recruiting me, so I gotta show them love. I stay in contact with them. Any time I need advice or anything, I just call them up and talk to them.”
Defensive backs coach Corey Raymond is Kilby-Lane’s main recruiter for the Tigers. He says the two have a great relationship.
“Coach Corey, he’s a nice guy, a very intelligent guy, I talk to him anytime I need advice or anything or I need someone to talk to,” he said.
“LSU, I’m interested in LSU, but I have to go see for myself how it is.”
It’s hard to read how open-minded Kilby-Lane really is, so getting him on campus will be important for LSU. He may also take an official visit to Ohio State, but he said it’s LSU that’s really been pursuing him heavily these days.

It's obvious the staff feels Kwon is gone after this season. We've been hard after a number of linebackers lately

He reached out to A&M too, I read somewhere-- but I don't think we took it seriously and its not really anything to get worked up over.
