this means if they wanted to be dicks they'd put Falcons at Saints one year... most of the previous London games have been interconference, but now that they've deemed it okay, you'll start seeing some division games, which should NEVER be moved overseas in Wembley

Dolphins probably agreed to do it. What is their attendance like?

If it's shitty, then I understand

It would probably be Saints at Falcons.

Falcons don't have much of a fan base and don't sell out. The Dolphins never pack their stadium.

When the Saints where the home team, the fan base was no where near like it is now.

The majority of these games the home team has a small fan base, not in a major market or doesn't sell out on the regular. There is a reason the NFC East, Steelers, Bears, Packers etc are not home teams for this.

Uk loves the dolphins. Dolphins want to be in the NFL's good graces to get another SB so they probably agreed to give up the home game.

What??

Saints games were sold out for every home game the year the saints played in London. I would be infuriated if they took a Saints home game against a division rival and sent it to London.

Didn't they just add a stipulation that if you want to host a Super Bowl, you have to give away a home game to London?

Saints fan base post 2006 in general. Did you ignore the rest of the post.

Yeah the NFL is saying if you refuse to give up a home game it will negatively impact your host bid.

Cant be very good. I bought a block of 30 tickets to the Saints Dolphins game in 09 and I still get phone calls and emails from various Dolphin reps trying to sell me season tickets. I can understand the emails every now and then, but you would think the 504 area code would tip them off that I'm not local.

Well look at the majority of the potential host cities and their fans.

Dallas will never give up a home game but it won't hurt them.

The Saints it wouldn't hurt them b/c Nola is on a rotation.

But Miami, SD, ATL, AZ, TB

London just took a home game from the Falcons this year. Doubt they would do it again so quickly.

the issue isn't that the Dolphins lose a home game... somebody has to.

the issue is that it's a DIVISIONAL game. it creates an imbalance for the Jets who have their three home divisional games PLUS one at a neutral site

the only thing worse would be to randomly play one playoff game in London

lol

Tell that to the jags, dolphins and bucs.

Maybe if you sold your stadium out it wouldn't be an issue.

AZ and ATL ( in a few years) will probably be safe since they built new stadiums.

The worst one was when Brees got to play against his old team the Chargers for the first time.

Game was supposed to be at the Dome, but was moved to London.

I wish they'd just move a team over there ASAP and stop with this foolishness. Hopefully Jacksonville.

That way nobody would be losing a home game.

They've had 98.2% attendance. They especially dont have trouble selling tickets against the Saints. Dont be an idiot
