After careful consideration, I have determined

that Seinfeld is the best 30 sitcom ever created and it is not even close

It can be easily argued. TV Guide ranked it as the #1 sitcom of all-time and also had the season four episode "The Contest" ranked as the single greatest episode in TV history. I believe another publication had Seinfeld as the second best written show of all-time behind The Sopranos.

They were all really horrible, selfish people but it was so well written no one cared.

I have watched a lot of 30 min sitcoms over my many years. Call it an obsession. The quality of the characters and writing makes it by far #1.
Show was awesome and I cant believe there are people out there who have never watched any of the episodes.
I agree the "Contest" was great but there were others that were just as good. i could see it being the #1 rated by its content.
There were so many people who made appearances in this show. Take the time and go look at that list sometimes. It would make you laugh.

I was hoping Parks and Rec would push it for #1 status, but PNR has been up and down recently.
Seinfeld is a generational show, so most everyone agrees it's #1.

Sometimes I prefer Cheers. Depends on my mood though.

Wow, what's crazy is that frank costanza was only in 26 episodes and some cashier was in 101. Frank made a tremendous impact and seemed like he was in way more than that.

The early episodes of the Seinfeld sorta suck.
That last episode was terrible.
Everything in between was gold Jerry gold.

Really going out on a limb there huh?

I loved Seinfeld when I was in middle school and high school, but it's even better now.

Nnnnnnnnnnnnope. Not my favorite anyway

"The Contest", "Soup Nazi", and "Festivus" are probably top three, but my favorite was probably when Kramer was on strike.

I cannot think of better, especially considering how well it ages, not bad at all.

I thought the OP was going to say "...not to endorse your park"

Great show? No question. Top 5 sitcom? Probably. Indisputably the best? I can't go that far. It has a certain, scene-for-scene value, and the core characters were executed very well.
M*A*S*H, All in the Family, Cheers, I Love Lucy - heck, man - there have been a lot of great sitcoms over the years.
