Who was the powerful MS politician about 10 years ago who was pulling so much $$ into the state?
I know the Ingalls shipyard bennefited greatly from his influence at the time.

Supposedly responsible for getting funding to complete I-269 up near Memphis. North Mississippi will benefit greatly from that.

Actually all of the mid-south probably will.

Oh man, I remember when he said those things about if Strom Thurmond had been President when he ran as a Dixiecrat.

"When Strom Thurmond ran for president, we voted for him. We’re proud of it. And if the rest of the country had followed our lead, we wouldn't have had all these problems over the years, either." - T. Lott
