Boustany is gearing up for the Senate race in 2016.

Per a very reliable source of mine in D.C. he is already mobilizing and it's a done deal that he runs.

Former Dr. out of Lake Charles. I met him once with a friend (same one who told me he was running). Seems like a nice guy. Poor golfer. Was being pushed at that time as one of the GOP's chief opposition leaders to Obamacare due to his back ground. I'll let the real political junkies here fill you in. I was just dropping off the info.

Mostly conservative voter.
However, also paid about $100k to Lafayette's own Jesse Jackson (Chris Williams) to get on the United Ballot both in '12 against Landry and yesterday against the no-names.

Boustany is a moderate at best and votes however Boehner tells him to.
Remember Boustany is the one who voted against Scalise as the Whip and said "f*$& Republicans" during redistricting.
It's going to be Boustany vs Fleming trying to out maneuver one another if Vitter gets elected Governor. Boustany would not get appointed by Vitter IMO.

There is a giant haul trailer off I-10 around Rayne, LA, with Boustany's picture on it ... "Thanks for your support" or whatever ...
Used to drive by it everyday.
