"Remember remember the fifth of November
Gunpowder, treason and plot.
I see no reason why gunpowder, treason
Should ever be forgot..."

Is this quote true? Are we more ourselves in the presence of a mask than we are in the light of day, judged by a thousand harsh eyes?

Is it the fear of exposure that keeps us...behaved?

How different are people when they think no one can see them? How different are they in the darkness?

Wait... are you talking about the gunpowder, treason, and plot? Or my rent being due?

Your character is best displayed by how you act when no one is watching.

The internet and anonymous message boards have proven this a million times over.

I disagree...it's when no one knows who you are. That's the power of a mask.

Think of halloween...

Hm, I didn't peg you as an arch Catholic fundamentalist but it takes all kinds I guess.

Or perhaps we are multiple people...we simply wear different masks at different times.

Society teaches this at a very young age. We learn through the need of acceptance to morph into whatever our surroundings deem appropriate.

What does the quote have to do with Guy Fawkes? Or just the masks themselves?

Anti-establishment homage.
