I'm trying to make a big run down the stretch, and I think that means making a big trade to do so. I'm thinking about proposing a trade for Megatron. Would Cobb for Megatron be my best bet? Or would you package someone like G. Tate and Gordon for Megatron?

My Team:
Ryan, Dalton
Morris, Hill, J. Bell, Sims, Ball
DT88, Cobb, G. Tate, Gordon, A. Robinson
D. Allen, Kelce
Browns
Nugent

Other team:
Wilson
L. Bell, Oliver, TRich, Tre Mason
Megatron, K. Benjamin, DJax, LaFell, M. Evans, M. Bryant
Davis, Daniels
Redskins, Bills
Tucker

You should have done this at the very least before his BYE. Cobb alone won't get him. The other guy doesn't have a star receiver after trading Mega either. I wouldn't be surprised if he asks for Gordon and Cobb depending on his standings (6-3, I'd ask for that. Less? Pass)

He'll be 3-6 after this week. I'm not gonna offer Cobb and Gordon, since my strategy is to have 3 top WRs in my lineup. Ideally that would mean DT88, Mega, Gordon, but I doubt that happens. I'd be less ecstatic about DT88, Mega, Cobb, but that would be my second ideal situation. I wouldn't make the trade if it left me with DT88, Mega and Tate.

Pretty much you should have tried to get him a few weeks ago. At this point you probably won't be able to get him for much if any less than face value. Morris and Cobb. Morris and Gordon. DT88 and a small piece.

It probably won't be worth it to you to make a trade.

At 3-6, I'd make sure I get a favorable trade to have a shot at the playoffs. Not sure you'll be able to get Mega... Just shoot him some offers~

Hell, I'm 2-6 playing with the mindset of a 6-2 guy. I gave up Ellington and Benjamin for LBell to solidly my team ROS if I can make it to playoffs. Never know what the other guy is thinking. Offer the Cobb trade and see what happens.

You will likely have to pay full value since you waited so long. If I'm the Calvin owner, I'm thinking there isn't a chance I hold onto him for 3 weeks while he isn't playing, then trade him away as soon as he is coming back.

The other team is weak at RB after Bell. If I'm him, I would want Morris and either Cobb or Gordon.

I traded K. Benjamin to this owner for Morris, so I'm inclined to say he may not be in favor of getting him back on a bye. That being said, Morris just got RGIII back and the running game looked much improved, and Cobb's remaining schedule looks to me like he can maintain his current production. I may just stay put because I'm 2-1 since the trade, and my RB situation is still pretty delicate.

I've held onto him this long. He is healthy and playing next week. What makes you think I would part with him for less than the late first round value I paid for him?

Frustration after a very unproductive season, excluding game 1. You're telling me you you'd rather stick it out with Megatron than make a trade for a player(s) like Cobb, Tate, Morris or Gordon to try to swing things around going down the stretch?

He's a tier 1 player who has been struggling with injury this year. He is coming off that injury presumably fully healthy after resting several weeks and ready to resume his status as a tier 1 player. You are offering 1 tier 2 and 3 players who have lower floors and in Gordon's case will still be out for a few weeks.

Keeping Calvin offers much higher upside to swing things around going down the stretch. Accepting anything less than multiple of those players would be accepting his fate as a losing team and just giving away what should be one of the top producers down the stretch.

And you're both 3-6 in your league right? Projected not to make the playoffs? Maybe I'll just hold out till you're 3-8, eliminated from the playoffs and then piss in your face while my team wins another championship.

Why would 3-6 team trade a now healthy Johnson for Cobb?

Why would a 3-6 team trade for Golden Tate, who will take a hit with a healthy Johnson coming back, and Josh Gordon, who probably does a 3-6 team no good?

yeah, makes sense

Yeah, Mega for Cobb doesn't appear a fair trade if you're looking at from the perspective that you drafted Calvin in the 1st round, but he clearly hasn't performed anywhere near that level of value since week 1. Cobb's production speaks for itself. G. Tate has proven he can eat with or without Calvin and has developed better chemistry with Stafford during Mega's absence. Tate + Gordon for Mega looks like shite on paper if you still think Tate isn't a top 10 WR, and Gordon won't be the man in Cle when he returns, but those are both misconceptions.
