Saved it for tonight...I was feeling Interstellar last night after reading the thread.

Here's hoping Kris Bryant is in the lineup for two games on Thirsty Thursday...

What did you think of Interstellar?

I was loving it until towards the end when we found all the strands of time or whatever

Sort of mind fricked me at that point but probably because it was past midnight

I liked it, but mainly because I really like space movies and TV shows about the universe and theories on multiple dimensions, String Theory, black holes, etc...

I thought it wasn't as cool-looking as Gravity or Inception, but it still was pretty good in the special effects. I thought The Gargantuan looked cool and the spherical wormhole was kinda cool...I just kind of thought things didn't look big enough or they didn't capture the expanse of space like Gravity did.

The part at the end...I don't know, I wasn't overly impressed with it. I figured out the "ghost" part pretty early on. The moments in time part in the multiple dimensions and everything was a great idea, but it just didn't really make the impact.

I know that's a bourgeois nit picky review, but hey...that's me. I will say that I will probably watch it a few more times, too. I had to answer a few questions during...

I will probably need that for myself anyway.

Bryant is in for Game 1. Wrigley for tomorrow is likely out the window.

No, I don't think so. It's a 1:20 game anyway, I'll be on the road. I'll listen on MLB though.

The Cubs used to play on WGN all the time in the afternoons in the central time zone. Not sure about other time zones, but I definitely watched an arse ton of Cubs games as a kid because of WGN.

I don't think there is any correlation between the Cubs and LSU, other than old (terrible) Cubs GM Jim Hendry and Paul Mainieri were apparently good friends.

Ryan Theriot and Mike Fontenot played for the Cubs at the same time years back. But I think the only reason LSU fans are Cubs fans is because of geography.

Yeah, the WGN superstation doesn't carry Cubs games anymore. It's called WGN America or something now and they don't show Cubs games...ask in the Cubs thread, that piggidy dude has the better lowdown.
