I was thinking Carolina controlled their destiny but I was wrong as usual.

I still live in constant fear that the Carolina tie, counting as a half win/half loss for them, is somehow going to come back and frick us up somehow. If we end up 9-7 and they were 9-6-1 and they go to the dance instead of us, by some weird fluke of percentage points, I will throw my TV out the window.

We just have to make sure we beat their arses again in the dome and that should seal the deal.

We control destiny?

That's fricking awesome. Is it a team thing or does one guy in our organization have the power to control the universe?

Or did Tom Benson just buy Bungie?

assuming we beat them at home, that means they have to go 6-0 rest of their games

Well if we won out we'd be 12-4 so that's pretty damn good.

The team that leads their division controls their own destiny? No way I don't believe you.

Let me help you out further:
Saints only NFC South team that resembles a fricking NFL team sometimes.

Us other 3 would get beat by the top tier College Football teams.

Is that because they're in first place and if they win out there's nothing the other three teams can do to catch them? That's some heady stuff to consider.

Carolina, Atlanta, and Tampa Bay would beat the best college football team by 56 points

To make it more even, how about if the college team is coached ...by Ditka.

If we beat the 9ers this week and Carolina loses to Philly, I think we win the division. Saints have been lucky that this division is so bad. I'd be happy with a 4th seed. Home field advantage for the Wild Card would be satisfying enough considering the crappy start we've had this season.

Once you go to the "college team beats Pro team" you have already drank the Kool aid.

i agree that this has helped us stay in the hunt and gotten us top in the division. however, if we continue to improve like we are, the rest of the division being shitty become irrelevant. we should be a straight up good team, regardless of how we started the year.
