Guess you cannot really argue that. But I kind of wish preseason rankings didn't exist. It would make more sense to just start the rankings around week 5 or 6 just to see where all the teams are at that time.

LSU shouldn't be anywhere in the Top 10. Beat Bama, and then they should. They were thoroughly outplayed by two Top 5 teams and lost both, and yet they deserve a spot over numerous other impressive 1-loss teams? Not in my book.
Also not sure how some of you can have TCU ahead of Baylor when both have one loss and Baylor won head-to-head.

Turnover in college football these days is such that this logic does not apply.

The majority of last year's squad is still intact. They're undefeated. If it was 100% turnover, then I'd agree.

LSU got crushed by 5 touchdowns in a game, something no other team in or near contention has done all year.
