representing high school instead of college during intros....

i know laverneus coles started this a long time ago, but jesus now it seems half the guys are doing it. it kind of speaks to the farce that is the "college athlete." also, whats the deal with florida? why didn't elam or pouncey claim florida?

A lot of players get pissed off at their college, so they go with the high school.

That's not why they do it. Plenty of guys who are proud of their University do it as well.

i know thats why, I just find it odd that so many guys are pissed off at their college, and specifically why elam and pouncey are pissed off at florida.
these guys are given free rides to prominent universities and then given the opportunity to become a millionaire playing a game, what are they so bitter about?

My dad called me like ten minutes ago and was like "how are these guys playing in the NFL when they didn't didn't go to college?" I had to explain this is the cool thing to do now.

I think some of them just try to bring attention to their high schools. It's not really a big deal to say UF or or some school like that, everyone knows who that is.

I think it's nice publicity for schools that people wouldn't hear of otherwise. We've all heard of the universities.
