Pretty cool, but that's a bit like pulling up the weather channel to see if its raining

You can tell when a guy is in a brutal collision without technology. Plus, imagine a guy makes a big hit and pops right up and celebrates with his teammate. Could you imagine some assistant trainer walking up to Les and saying "his mouthpiece indicates a possible concussion"

I can see this being used in a few years as a way to pull players out the game after big hits

And the reality is the damage has already been done. Obviously, further exposure after a big hit leads to compounded problems, but at the end of the day the guy is eventually going back out there, is going to get slammed again, and his brain is going to get scrambled.

Either that is accepted or it isnt.

You really can't. Some look brutal but have minimal impact on the head. The reverse is also true.
