When did you stop "going out" for Halloween?

I'm 26 and I really don't see the allure of dodging people in a crowd to get a drink or go down to the quarter in the cold and freeze your arse off.
I did go out for past halloweens when I was younger, but now I just see it as another day of the week.

If I go out on Halloween, it's not about the drinking, it's to see all of the costumes.
I like going places that have costume contests.

Have never planned to go out for HW, but hit the Florabama a couple of times when timing was coincidental, including tonight. Enjoyed the costumes, especially on the chicks.

When I got a big boy job. Used to have a ton of fun at the Halloween parties in Hammond, but if my current work schedule holds the same the next time I'll be able to party on actual Halloween night will be 2017.

did Halloween in NOLA in 2009...had a swell time, but given the reasons above, I wouldn't do it again.

So.....no party tonight?.....Friday night? Must be a shitty shift job.

When I had kids. Much more fun taking them out trick or treating while sipping on a few beers.

Did this for the first time tonight and you're absolutely correct, so much fun. Kinda makes me wish i had done it with my first few kids, but honestly i like this one more and the prior ones had counts for mothers so it probably wouldn't have been as much fun.

I stopped "going out" for Halloween when I stopped calling going to bars "going out".
I may go to a bar on Halloween, but no more than I might go on a random Thursday.
To me, "going out" now is something reserved for a special event.
