Did you enjoy your time there? Did they buy any ice from you?

Little known fact: we tried to buy it off Denmark for $100M after WWII and they told us to eat a bag of dicks.

didn't know that. That's a lose lose for both of us. They spend more than that every year to keep it afloat and we are missing out on a lot of uranium.

After watching Walter Mitty, I think I'd like to visit.

The interesting thing about Greenland is the white people and the Inuits live together. But the white people got there first. Europeans are the "Native" minority

I don't see why you would visit, in the past I spent a lot of time reading up about it on Wikipedia and it just doesn't seem like there is much there

I was stationed aboard a Coast Guard polar icebreaker. We escorted in the supply ships to Thule Air Force Base on the NW coast of Greenland. It was scenic and desolate. No desire to go back. Now St. John's and Halifax in Canada are definitely worth checking out. They have an insane girl to guy ratio due to the nursing and liberal arts colleges. Made up for the North Pole and Greenland suckiness.

Its the "largest island in the world" and there is 56,000 people there. I imagine there isn't much to see or do.
