I have requested money from about 15 people for a Bachelor party and I have received money from about half of them, with e-mails saying they sent me the money. I log onto my PayPal account and the money they sent is nowhere to be found, nothing saying they sent the money, only a list of the people who haven't paid me yet. I have exhaustively looked through this fricking website and I can not find anything that says I have money that was sent to me. This happened back in May when I was refunded a deposit via PayPal and I got about 20 e-mails saying my money was waiting for me, but when I went to the website...nothing. Eventually it said sorry, you never obtained your money so it was sent back to the group admin or whatever. I am fricking pissed and I have been on hold for 20 minutes trying to figure this godforsaken website out. Any tips?

You probably don't have all your email addresses/phone numbers linked to the same account.

Next time use Venmo

Is the e-mail address where you received the notices that you had money, the same as the e-mail address you use to log into the paypal website? You may have (inadvertently) multiple paypal accounts.

I hate paypal, still use it when I have to but Chase Quickpay is so much better if any of your friends or you have a Chase account.

Yea, Venmo is way better. (although ironically enough it was bought by PayPal so I'm sure they'll find a way to frick it up)

Have used PayPal for years, no problems. The people that say they paid you would have received a receipt for their payment emailed to them from Payment. Have them forward the receipt to you, it will show the user that received the payment and you can verify that it is correct. If they don't have a receipt it is not likely they have actually paid. I have used PayPal to make probably a couple of thousand online purchases and have received the receipt every single time.
