My free subscription is about to expire. I know the price is negotiable, just wondering what y'all pay so I know how low to ask for.

I think I got $85 for a 1 year subscription. Just call them and tell them you're thinking about cancelling because the price is too high and see what they offer you.

Just deny their offer at least twice and then take whatever offer you feel comfortable with.

They just make shite up anyway, so it's a judgment call.

I just paid around $150 for a year of the basic subscription with the nav traffic. Nav traffic was $45 by itself

The routine is, call and say you want to cancel. They will transfer you to another dept. They will ask you why. Tell them it costs too much for the little bit you listen. They will make you a special offer. If it's not good enough, tell them you still want to cancel. They will probably make another offer. If you don't like it, cancel. They will be calling and emailing another offer within a week or so.

I think I pay about $80 a year or so.

There's a reason red lights and STOP signs are red.

I think the last time we did it for around $20 for 5 months. They are coming due again next month, so I'll be calling to "cancel" again.

My wife had a free trial when we got her van last year. I think we bought it in September or October. We got all of these letters in the mail wanting her to renew. The offers got better. We never renewed. It is still activated. Haven't paid them a dime and she's had it free for over a year.

Don't call and threaten to cancel, all you have to do is ask.

Call and ask what deals they have running, and see what they say. Say your buddy just got 6 mos for $20 and that's what you were hoping for. They'll get you close to that.

Once you've gotten it, call them back in 6 mos and ask for the same deal.

I pay 15 bucks a month for the mobile service. But it's worth it because I have XM on the go everywhere …gym, car, bluetooth on my patio, on my computer, iPad, etc

I can also fast forward and rewind all the shows…I work from home a lot so I'll pause The Herd and SVP etc when I'm busy and I can skip through parts I don't care about and never listen to a commercial.

I have Spotify Premium which in my opinion is a million times better than XM Radio. I can browse artists, songs, etc. that I like, then add those songs to a playlist. After that, I just make the playlist available offline and I can listen to the infinite amount of songs on my playlist without having to worry about running up my data plan. No commercials, no wishing I could skip a song.
