Breaking in a shotgun--Beretta A400

Last week I got a new A400 Extreme. Last night I went to the skeet range and had lots of problems with it jamming. I was shooting 2.75" low brass. Is anyone aware of a break in period for this gun?
I know the low brass might not be best to start and I will shoot a higher powered round next time. Has anyone else had this problem with this gun? Freaking $1700 gun should shoot right out of the box. Yeah I'm pissed.

You need to shoot a couple boxes of high brass through it to break it in.

Benelli laughs at "break in"

I have an Extrema 2 and I started shooting it at the skeet range and never had a jamming problem. Did you try to put a little oil in it?

Low brass is for women and for A400

You are good to go, its the thick arse break in grease. Throw some more rounds through it and then clean it, you will be fine.

I had the same problem you are having but with a benelli about 10 years ago. you probably just got a lemon. return it and swap it out. ive never believed that break in shite.

Rize had that problem, but only maybe twice when he got his recently.

No doubt about that. I would break it all the way down and oil the hell out of it and go shoot a few boxes of high brass as others suggested. If you are still having problems, I would contact Beretta.

Sucks to be you. I bought a Benelli SBE2 and the first rounds that went through it were Rios at the sporting clay range and it hasn't had a hang up yet. I would make sweet love to that thing it is so nice.
Also did you clean it first? If not you should have to get all of that factory oil off of there. If not go clean the shite out of it with a solvent and try again.

gotta clean the packing grease off and oil it. I usually break mine down before I shoot and make sure its lubed up. But that's what the Marine Corps taught me.

Absolutely do not do this. People really do oil the crap out of their guns and wonder why they have more malfunctions after cleaning them. A little goes a really long way.
