Soccer loses 2-0 tonight to Auburn. They lost their last 7 matches, being shut out in the last 4 matches.

Season record: 5-13-2, including 1-11-1 in the last 14 and a 1-9-1 record in the SEC.

Last year: 9-9-2
2012:9-8-4

10 years for Brian Lee. Program apparently in decline.

I would like to see all LSU sports succeed. Alleva brought us Nikki Caldwell and Beth Torina. Is it time to make a big hire in soccer? (if there is such a thing)

Coach Lee looked to be doing a good job, but its time for a new direction.

Softball will be the next big thing on the map, I'm happy Torina is here. She will bring championships home to LSU in the future. She has changed the identity of this team, amazing how we go from batting .200 constantly, now well over .300. Top ten recruiting classes coming in, should be fun to watch. She has proven to develop players. I encourage everyone to check out this years team, probably one the most talented teams we have had in a while. Gorilla Ball is very likely this year. They are actually fun to watch.

Help lee pack. I had no idea who he was until I read this thread but Aleva needs practice hiring coaches.

At least they did a few years ago. Doesn't seem to be working out right now.

What I don't understand is that he brought in a top 15 class two years ago, the number 7 class last season, and we are the worst team he's had since his first season otherwise, he's been pretty damn solid.

I think because he got these past two recruiting classes and his resurrection of what seemed to be a "dead" program, I say give him one more year.

eta: it has to be something internal, right?

I am probably the only one that saw it, but the goal LSU gave up 10 seconds into the 2nd half was the laziest, most inept athletic attempt I've seen in a while. If we are going to spend money on it, at least try.

Women's soccer is different from many sports and needs to be evaluated differently.

Rosters are usually loaded with freshmen and sophomores because the girls burn out.

They've been playing since they were 4 and once they get to college it is no longer fun.

Since it is a dead end from a career standpoint, why keep playing if it is no fun?

Many women's college coaches are total assholes too and drive kids away.

I don't know Lee's ways. I have heard he is hard to play for, but don't know this for sure.

So there is another "Anson" in the world besides Anson Williams, aka Potsie?

You're a douche!

I find soccer excruciatingly dull myself, but this is a board for all LSU sports teams.

Geaux Tiger Soccer!!!

If LSU had a Men's Soccer team, I would be at every game and watch it over other sports.

Agree.

I love how people don't care but then care enough to come in to say they don't care.

I saw that…it is very hard to give up a goal that quick to start a game or half. That play reeked of "I don't give a shite…let's get this season over with already"
